Box jackets are usually made out of tweed, silk or leather and have really defined shoulders. Depending on the print, you can wear them them with skinny jeans and heels (as shown here) or with high waisted shorts, a color coordinating crop top and color coordinating chunky heels. Sport this trend in a floral or busy print and make me proud!
Nude clutches can be simple or very intricate (with beading, lace, studs, embroidery, etc.) but you have to know how to wear them! Shown here is a DP Occasion Nude clutch bag and shown below is a Jimmy Choo Candy Stars Acrylic clutch bag. You know what the difference is? The one below is $995 and the one shown to the left is $44!
Well now that I have made my point, I can go on. Fashion is a journey and you're gonna need a nude clutch to carry your accessories in! Wear it with a black high waisted skirt, a coral sleeveless top and some black thick strapped heels!
Because there are so many type of tops, I'm going to go with neon sweaters. Neon sweaters are cozy and trendy and you can wear them with anything. I would definitely pair them with dark rinse skinny jeans and some kitten heels. Or to go more casual: any type of color coordinating (or denim) shorts and some strappy gladiator sandals!
Leather shorts have kind of been a more night-life, sexy, club type of apparel that when worn appropriately can be day time wear as well!
Shown here is a pair of Rebecca Minkoff Mika Leather Shorts paired with a simple colorful top, a leather jacket, and chunky black heels. The green statement making cross body detracts attention from all the leather and puts off a fun, eclectic vibe!
Lace shorts are equal parts feminine and trendy which, when mixed together, are a dynamic duo surely placing you in the center of attention. Wear them with a sleeveless chambray shirt (as shown here) and you'll look unforgettable, in a good way! Lace shorts are one the best inventions since sliced bread! Make sure you get in on the trend while you still can!
Silk shorts are comfy yet exude elegance. You can wear them with kitten heels and a graphic tee for a more casual take on the trend orrrr you can wear them with a color coordinating sheer blouse and some oxford flats! So cute, so versatile, so you!
Channel your inner Rachel Berry with these galactic accessories!
These earrings are very trendy and look good with just about anything!! I love themed earrings because when you purposely clash them you look more rounded and eclectic!
Wear them with a color coordinating chain necklace and clunky watch!
Okay, I must be a trend setting wizard or something because I have been wearing denim rompers a lot in the past year or so. Crazy, right??
Anyways, denim rompers are versatile just like most of the other pieces I blog about are. But these are especially versatile because you can wear just about anything with them or under them.
My favorite way to wear them is either with a colorful bustier underneath and some fun color coordinating sneakers ooooor, you can wear a skintight lace long sleeve shirt underneath and some floral Doc Martens.
But don't just stop there...
You can dress them up with nude lace up booties and a statement making belt.
Or you can wear them casually with a leather, wrap around watch and some flat oxfords.
I own three or four of these beauties in varying shades of chambray and I often wear them to church, the mall, or the movies.
I've noticed that a lot of people have started to adopt the culture of country living and a laid back style.
But that's not what I'm here to talk about....
I'm here to tell you that leather cowboy boots are totally on the rise.
You can wear them with just about any dress or skirt as long as the colors coordinate or there's lots of denim involved in the outfit. Oooorrr you can go all out and wear them traditionally with utilitarian- style boot cut jeans and a simple floral top.
Just a suggestion: MAKE SURE THEY ARE REAL LEATHER. Otherwise they will wear out insanely quick and the faux leather sealant will peel off and look disgusting and terribly trashy. Some great brands that make genuine leather boots are: Justin, Laredo, Dan Post, Larry Mahan, Tony Lama, Zodiac, Nocona, Abilene, Olathe, and Lucchese just to name a couple.
This is such a tricky trend to get right... Embellished collars are usually on sheer button up blouses and they're quite a nice touch.... if you get it right.
The only way to get it right is to buy one with the smaller type of studs of jewels because if you get, let's just say, a sheer pink button up blouse with huge, honking rhinestones it's going to look trashy... That's why you have to get the kind with the smaller embellishments. It'll look classy and quite nice.
Now that I'm done clearing the air, let's move on. You can tuck these type of shirts into a pair of color coordinating high waisted shorts and polish off the outfit with some biker boots ooooooor you can pair this type of shirt with a lacy skirt and some studded flats. You can make these type of outfits your own by adding fun bracelets and rings but I don't suggest a necklace with an embellished collar shirt... too much going on up top might make you look top heavy.
Ta-Ta For Now,
