XOXO
Hello there, long time no see! Its 2015 and there may never be an end to the 90's grunge look. Flannel button downs are a trend that has yet again resurfaced and with it I have no problem. Nothing says cool and easy like a classic red flannel and some worn out jeans. Not even the most unfashionable person can mess up this trend. You can wear a flannel practically anyway you like. As seen here, by tucking in your flannel with a black peplum skirt, you can achieve a polished, yet carefree look that's ready to be worn to school, to lunch, out shopping, you name it! You can find and order this Kate Spade button up for only $63 by clicking on the image to the left. If you're like me, waking up late in the morning is a pretty normal thing. But have no fear because the flannel is here! By pairing a red flannel (the most popular style of this trend) with your favorite pair of jeans you're ready to conquer anything that life dishes out- or at least you'll look like you are! This blondie to the left is wearing a style which you can purchase for yourself for $36 by clicking on her image. Watch out boyfriend! It will look as if you're stealing all your boy toy's shirts when wearing this F21 black and white gingham. With a chest pocket and a basic collar, whats not to love about this steal?! For $19 you can have this baby under your belt along with an aura of coolness. Just click the image to the left and you'll find yourself happier already! After paying a small fortune for this beauty, you'll posses a soft, over-sized comfy shirt that you could wear to bed or out on the town. In a rather neutral color scheme, this boxy number can be dressed up or down. Styled with beat up jeans and white chunky sandals this button up exudes a natural and carefree edge. On the other hand, when worn with black Ponte knit pants and black chunky heels, this shirt will put off an air of excellence. Although $315 is a small fortune to pay, the qualities accompanying this flannel will redeem themselves in the long run. Well having said all this, I must go now for I have a week's worth of outfits to plan and far too little time to plan them with.
XOXO

Hey everyone! I started a new job working at my local department store which has truly lent me a helping hand to noticing the fashion patterns of today's fashion world. Well if you haven't seen them yet, then you may be living under a rock because you can find these non constricting palazzo pants everywhere. Palazzo pants are the perfect antidote for the days you are exhausted of wearing your constrictive skinny jeans for the umpteenth time. As carefree as a maxi skirt but with a bit of an edge, these flowy pants look best with fitted tops, balancing out proportions to make a fun carefree look. These wide-leg beauties' high waist ed feature can be shown off best with crop tops, although boxy shirts and even slouchy tees can work the same magic. Palazzo pants are a great way to mix things up in your wardrobe as they can be worn every which way from tailored styles to breezy colorful patterns. Seen here are a sheer pair of palazzo pants which you can find on the daily look website for $49.99. Worn with a black crop top and a pair of black stilettos, these palazzo pants earn a title of all over slimming with their streamlined silhouette and with a split up the side they also lend a sexy feel to the outfit. Click the picture to be redirected to a new window where you can purchase them in black or peach in 3 different sizes. And here are a fun printed version of the snazzy pants. Made of a satin material these flowy pants are valued at a whopping $1380 due to their techno visuals and the Italian brand name Missoni. With a discreet side zip closure there is truly no reason to skip out on these beautiful satin pants (of course unless you don't want to take out a loan to pay for them!)Wear them with a platform heel and a silver crop top to look stylish and feel ready to go out anywhere on the town with friends. Click the picture to be redirected to the luisaviaroma website where you can purchase them in several different sizes. And last but not least here are my favorite more affordable options. < These are a pair of Megan high waist-ed palazzo trousers in white. Pictured on the lovely model with a black long sleeve crop top and a flat black pair of sandals. For $47.50 you can order these stylish trendy pants that lend your wardrobe a more modern feel as they are very versatile. Click the picture to be redirected to the Missguided website where you can buy a pair in a variety of sizes and even receive free shipping if your total is over $65. <<Here is another affordable option at only $26.97. These Lily White Boho palazzo pants in a daisy print are a very easy and cheap way to get in on the trend. Feel free to visit the tilly's website with a click on the picture and browse through the rest of their options as they do have a myriad of other printed and graphic palazzo pants all at cheap, low prices. (pictured below) So gladiator sandals are, if you don't know, usually flat and have a multitude of straps in varying thicknesses, sometimes they're beaded, sequined, glittery and pretty much just heavenly. I, for one, love the trend and have since it really got popular last spring. Stars have been seen wearing this trend, in varying ways, Kourtney Kardashian (God forbid I butchered her poor name spelling) being a large voucher for the trend here are the pair of gladiators Kourt has been obsessed with; they're $389! Here are the links to some cheaper gladiators for my ladies on a budget! this splendorous sandal comes in 3 colors: light brown (shown here), tan and black-all for $30! http://www.forever21.com/Product/Product.aspx?BR=f21&Category=shoes_sandalsflipflops-flat&ProductID=2000071120&VariantID=&siteID=Hy3bqNL2jtQ-UxnLNquYanxBtfHuw80kwA&ls_affid=Hy3bqNL2jtQ&utm_campaign=Hy3bqNL2jtQ&utm_source=affiliatetraction&utm_medium=ls These heels are for all the wild women; the heel is 4.5 inches tall! you can find these exciting heels @: http://www.charlotterusse.com/product/Shoes/Heels/entity/pc/2115/c/0/sc/2848/256919.uts XOXO,

So I realized that when I link the product page to what I'm blogging about, the product is usually some super expensive high-end thingie that no one has the money to buy. So that's why I'm currently listening to Coachella on YouTube, because its not like I have money to go to Cali, and blogging about awesome blingy shorts under $200. Check out these super snazzy shorts from Mod Cloth online. They're only $50! See you can easily pair embellished shorts with a crop top if the shorts are high waist-ed. Or you can get some comfy bling shorts in the form of lazy casual work out shorts. These shorts are $49 and can easily be paired with a fun v neck and flats. I think these are my favorite because no matter how lavish and expensive they look, they're only $42 from River Island online. I would wear these with cork wedges and a white v neck. What about these fun patched shorts and that fabulous beanie! What a magical mash-up! This look is kinda rocker- rebel chick especially with that adorable spiky necklace. You can purchase these shorts on sale online for $25 while supplies last. Would ya look at those shorts?! They're a gorgeous pair with a distressed tie-dye long sleeved sweat shirt. You can pick up these crochet-style shorts online for only $40. I know these shorts are a little expensive but I could NOT resist the studded front and the fringed edge. For $129 you can own these shorts for partying or to wear out with friends. Check out these nontraditional Levi's brand denim cutoffs. The embroidery is a rather delicate spin on their otherwise "rough and tumble" reputation as a brand. You can purchase these shorts for a mere $88 online. These super hip shorts have the power to bring out the boho in anyone with their flirty- earthy vibe. For $58 you can bring out your full hippie self and chill out to the fullest extent. These clearance shorts are for the broke girls out there. At a whopping $9, you can walk around in style and with confidence knowing how hot you look. They also come in white (see below) These shorts are quite trendy with the accompaniment of those strappy sandals! On their own, these embellished shorts are a small step towards a large fashion trend, so if you're squeamish towards obnoxious prints these are perfect for you. You can find them at the Buckle or online for $39 Check out these studded shorts from Top Shop online. They would be super cute with black tights, black ankle booties and a white button down tucked in. You can purchase these online for $50. You can find these super modern zipper shorts online for $68. They would be so cute with my pair of dark grey Vince Camuto studded flats or red pumps and a white tank top. The zipper placement is what really changes up the look and the almost knee length makes them more age appropriate. Free People just recently came up with smocked bike shorts. They're not only entertaining but fun and eye catching. These would definitely fit the play bill for a show on embellished shorts; in fact they may have their very own show. Would ya look at those cute geometric shapes! XOXO, Emily Holmes So it is finally getting a little nicer outside and its time to get out those bermudas! This almost knee-length style of shorts is not only appropriate for school and the work place, but they are great if you want to feel a spring breeze without showing too much skin. They come in all types of material and colors. Check out these royal blue bermudas, too cute! You can buy these cuties at _ for around $120 Let's not forget about these grey bad boys. You can find these at http://www.pinkmascara.com/tractr-mid-thigh-bermuda-in-nickel?utm_source=polyvore&utm_medium=display&utm_campaign=shorts ^ these dark slimming Bermuda shorts are only $76 from http://www.pinkmascara.com/henry-and-belle-slim-bermuda-in-ultra-dark?utm_source=polyvore&utm_medium=display&utm_campaign=shorts Check out these super cute linen Bermuda shorts from Anthropologie. This look is quite versatile for the warmer months as it can be worn out to a movie, to dinner or even Barnes and Noble if you like to read the magazines instead of buy them :) This fall fabric is everywhere! Although you mostly find it in department stores and boutiques, corduroy has hit the streets! I have seen some crazy things made out of corduroy that just make it even more in the know; people are making handbags and even shoes! Check out these corduroy items you can get for a steal! And not to mention how unisex corduroy is, check out this awesome shirt: Look at all the ways you can wear corduroy! So versatile! This pinafore is so precious! We can't forget about the shoes! Check out this cord hat! ^ These lace up cords are my favorite out of all these shoes! <3
Beaded tops have already headlined once this year along with the aztec- tribal summer theme and now they have been revamped for fall. Try a new look with a beaded sweater, some skinnies (depending on where you live, because it is still hot as Hades where I am) and some ballet flats (which are also trending, so it's like a double whammy; Two trends in one outfit!) You may see them on the 2013 fall catwalk (just a prediction) so stock up on these luxurious tops. Feel fancy, going out for coffee with friends, wearing a grey long sleeve beaded sweater and some high waisted leather shorts as seen here: Everyone will want to get to know you since this beaded sweater will be sending off the right vibes. I have always thought very highly of the color navy because it's such a neglected color. Nobody says that navy is their favorite color because it's just not the first thing to come up in their mind! Well fashion is finally putting the spotlight on this demure shade of blue.
Navy is the new neutral! I can not say that enough. You can build an entire outfit off this classic color! |
